Why Are My Active Points Low?
Active Points in the app are calculated based on:
- Activity type
- Age & Gender
- Heart Rate during the activity
- Activity duration
- Speed or movement intensity
If your Active Points are lower than expected, it is often due to data syncing issues, app restrictions, or incorrect heart rate settings.
Common Causes & Troubleshooting
1. App Running in Background Restricted
The most common cause is background activity restrictions imposed by your smartphone:
- Battery saver modes may stop activity from acquiring App
- The app may not process real-time data properly if:
- Battery optimizations are ON.
- Background activity is restricted.
- Necessary permissions are not granted.
Solution
- Disable Battery Saver for the app.
- Allow background activity and data usage.
- Confirm Bluetooth & Location permissions are set to Always allow.
2. Incorrect Max Heart Rate Setting
If your Max Heart Rate (HR) is set too high, the app may:
- Set your activity mostly in Recovery Zone, leading to fewer Active Points.
How to Check
- After an activity, review your Heart Rate Zones in the Activity Review.
- If most time is spent in the Recovery Zone, your Max HR may be incorrectly high or intensity of your training could be higher
How to Reset Max HR
- Go to the App → Settings.
- Navigate to Account Settings → Performance.
- Manually set your Max HR using the formula: 220 - your age. Example: If you're 40 years old → Max HR = 180 bpm
3. Incorrect Activity Type
If the wrong activity type is selected or detected, Active Points calculation may be skewed.
- Some activity types inherently yield fewer points due to lower intensity or lack of continuous heart rate elevation.
Solution
- Ensure the activity type matches your actual exercise.
- For example, if a high-intensity cycling session was mistakenly recorded as walking, you may earn fewer points.
Checklist for Improving Active Points Accuracy
- Wear the Band snugly on your wrist.
- Keep the band charged to at least 50% before workouts.
- Update the App and band firmware.
- Restart the band if data seems off.
- Regularly review your heart rate zones for accuracy.
