How does the app connect to my wearable?
It depends on your device:
- The Band connects directly to the app via Bluetooth.
- Garmin and Apple Watch / Apple Health work at account level — your device syncs data to Garmin Connect or Apple Health, and the app reads from there. Your Garmin or Apple Watch does not connect directly to the app.
This means the troubleshooting steps differ depending on which wearable you are using.
Why can't I access data from my wearable?
If you use the Band
- Make sure Bluetooth is enabled on your phone.
- Ensure the app has the necessary Bluetooth and location permissions in your phone settings.
- Try moving the band closer to your phone and restarting the app.
- If the issue persists, go to app settings, remove the band, and re-pair it from scratch.
If you use Garmin
- Open Garmin Connect and confirm your device is paired and synced there first — the app reads data from Garmin Connect, not from the device directly.
- In the app, go to Settings → Wearables and confirm your Garmin account is still linked.
- If data is not flowing, try unlinking and relinking your Garmin account.
If you use Apple Watch / Apple Health
- Go to iPhone Settings → Health → Data Access & Devices and confirm the app has read access enabled for the metrics you expect to see.
- Make sure the Apple Health app has permissions to receive data from your Apple Watch.
- Restart the app and wait a few minutes for data to appear.
Why is my wearable data not updating?
If you use the Band
Data should appear within a few minutes of syncing. If it is not updating:
- Check that the band is connected in the app (look for the connection indicator).
- Try opening the app and pulling down to refresh.
- If the band has been inactive for a while, wear it and wait for the next sync cycle.
If you use Garmin
The app syncs with Garmin Connect in the background. If data is missing:
- Open Garmin Connect and trigger a manual sync from your device.
- Make sure Background App Refresh is enabled for Garmin Connect in your phone settings.
- On Android: check that battery optimisation is disabled for Garmin Connect, as this can block background syncing.
- Wait up to 15 minutes after a sync for data to appear in the app.
If you use Apple Watch / Apple Health
- Open the Apple Health app and check that the relevant data is present there first — the app can only display what Apple Health has received.
- Make sure Background App Refresh is enabled for the app in your phone settings.
- If data is missing in Apple Health itself, check that your Apple Watch is set up to record that data type.
