Proper care keeps your Band comfortable, accurate, and long-lasting.
1. Cleaning Your Band
- Gently wipe the strap and device housing with a soft, damp cloth.
- If needed, use a small amount of mild soap and water to remove sweat or dirt.
- Avoid alcohol wipes, solvents, abrasives, sunscreen, perfume, or cleaning agents on the housing.
- Dry both the strap and sensors completely before wearing the band again.
2. Material-Specific Care
- The strap is made from a woven nylon and spandex blend — air-dry only; never use heat (hair dryer, radiator, or direct sunlight).
- The device housing is made from ABS plastic with a protective coating. Avoid dropping, scratching, or exposing it to chemicals such as sunscreen, perfume, or cleaning agents.
- To maintain sensor performance, gently clean the optical sensor area with a soft, lint-free cloth.
3. After Workouts or Sweating
- Rinse the strap gently with fresh water to remove salt or sweat residue.
- Wipe the housing dry and let the strap air-dry completely before wearing.
- Do not leave the band wet for long periods, as this can affect comfort and material elasticity.
- If you work out daily, clean and dry the strap at least once every two days.
4. Cleaning the Velcro Closure
- Use a soft brush or your fingers to gently remove any debris from the Velcro area.
- Avoid sharp tools that could damage the hooks or loops.
- If the Velcro loses grip, rinse gently with cool water, air-dry, and brush clean before reuse.
5. Storage
- Store in a cool, dry place, away from sunlight, moisture, or heat sources.
- Avoid leaving the device inside cars, bathrooms, or near heaters where temperature and humidity fluctuate.
- If storing long-term, charge the device to about 50% before putting it away.
6. Avoid Damage
- Do not twist, overstretch, or bend the strap sharply.
- Avoid dropping or exposing the band to sharp objects.
- Always use the original charger to protect the connectors and battery integrity.
7. Skin Comfort
- Wear the band snug but comfortable — not too tight or too loose.
- Clean your wrist and the back of the band regularly to prevent irritation.
- If irritation occurs, remove the device until your skin has healed and ensure both your skin and the band are clean and dry before resuming wear.
- If the strap becomes frayed or loses elasticity over time, consider replacing it for optimal comfort and performance.
